Current Empties #2

Hi everyone,

Today’s post is another empties,  this is long overdue.  I have had this pile building up & had intended on doing this post long ago, however it is only now that I am getting around to it.  It’s a long one I have quite a few products, so grab a cuppa…😊

Body, Hair, Nail & Skin  Care

Essano Rosehip Body Oil – I picked this up in TK Maxx for a fiver & as soon as I used it; I regretted it.  It’s awful.  I felt like I’d been bathing in a deep fryer after using this.  It left a thick layer of grease on my skin.   It was so thick that I was able to scrape it off & see it under my nails.  It didn’t absorb at all & it had a horrible smell — it smelled like dust.  Awful, awful product.  If you see this, avoid it!

Nivea Caring Sunshine Love Shower Gel – This is a gorgeous shower gel & one I have already repurchased.  It has a gorgeous scent that screams summer to me.  It lathers up really nicely & left my body feeling clean & it didn’t cause any irritation or further dry out my skin.

Head & Shoulders Shampoo Classic Clean Shampoo – My most repurchased shampoo, I’ve gone through an endless amount of this.  I have dandruff & a sensitive scalp that reacts to most products & this was one shampoo that didn’t irritate my scalp at all, but it did help with dandruff.  It left the lengths of my hair quite dry though so I’ve switched to  other brands for now, but may go back to this in future.

Soap & Glory Clean on Me Creamy Clarifying Shower Gel & The Righteous Butter Body Wash – They smell nice & aren’t drying or greasy, I really liked both of them & would absolutely repurcahse them both.

GlamGlow Supermud Clearing Treatment – This is my holy grail mask.  It’s quite honestly the best mask I have ever used.  No other masks compare to it.   Full review here.  I have already repurchased this.

L’Oréal Fine Flowers Sensitive Toner – This is a gorgeous toner to use especially if you have dry or sensitive skin.  It is a very gentle toner that did what it said it would, but without causing any irritation or negative reaction.  The bottle is huge too, so it lasts for ages.  Full review here.  Would absolutely repurchase this.

Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Gel Moisturiser – This is a gorgeous moisturiser & one I would happily repurchase.  It’s a lightweight, fast absorbing moisturising gel crème. My skin feels so good after I apply this. It smells gorgeous too. Would absolutely repurchase this.

Lacura Hot Cloth Cleanser – Didn’t like this at all.  My skin felt tight & uncomfortable after using it.  It’s not even half empty but I’ve used it a few times & have given up because of how my skin feels.   Wouldn’t recommend or repurchase.

Sugar Nourishing Lip Balm Advanced Therapy – This lip balm is deeply hydrating and nourishing on my super dry lips and it’s one of the very few I would repurchase.  It’s absolutely amazing.  It’s expensive, but so worth it.  Full review here.

Organic Surge Refreshing Face Wash – This was okay, nothing special. I prefer my Soap & Glory Vitamin C Facial Wash (full review here). Wouldn’t repurchase this.

Soap & Glory Vitamin C Facial Wash – Love this & have already repurchased. One of my absolute favourites, can’t beat it.

Olay Energising Mist – This was okay, nothing amazing. I dislike the spray from the bottle it came in so I decanted into another bottle. I found it left large droplets of the product on my face. Wouldn’t repurchase.

Sanex Deodrant – This was nice, I’m a big fan of Sanex deodrants, they’re great for sensitive skin. They do leave white marks on dark clothing which is the only thing I dislike about them, but they are some of the few deodrants I can use without issue so I stick with them.

Rose Bath Essence – This was lovely & smelled gorgeous too, not a very strong scent of rose which I liked. Not sure where I got this, think it may have been in a set. If I saw it again I would repurchase.

Bioderm Atoderm Lip Balm – Liked this, but didn’t love it. Didn’t find it to be moisturising enough for me, so for that reason I wouldn’t repurchase. It was nice, but didn’t enough for me in terms of hydration.

Hand Sanitising Gel – I have gone through endless amounts of these. Love this one in particular, pretty sure it’s from Aldi & under a euro. Not drying like a lot of hand sanitisers are. Already repurchased.

Avène Eau Thermale Facial Spray – Really like this & would repurchase again. I love sprays like this on warm days, I keep them in the fridge so they’re cooling & refreshing.

EOS Lip Balm – This was okay, nothing amazing, wouldn’t repurchase, I prefer Carmex to this.  Wouldn’t repurchase.

Mavala Nail Polish Thinner This is a wonder product. It’s just incredible. It’s exactly as the names says – a nail polish thinner.  It has saved so many nail polishes for me.  Anytime a polish is thick or gloopy a few of drops sorts it out.  Many a time I’ve been close to binning polishes because they’ve become thick or gloopy & I think they are un-salvageable, a few drops of this & they’re back to how they should be.  I’ve already repurchased it.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti Chip Top Coat- My absolute favourite top coat & one I’ve gone through several bottles of.  I’ve been using this for years & have yet to find one that is near as good as this is.  I have already repurchased.

Sally Hansen Maximum Growth This is one of the few nail care polishes that I repurchase.  It’s amazing, the best there is.  I’ve been using it for years & couldn’t fault it in anyway.  It dries quickly, helps my colour to apply better, look better & last longer as well as helping my nails to grow & gain strength.  Already repurchased.

Catrice Lash Multimizer Couture Waterproof Mascara – The Lash Multimizer is a fabulous mascara that defines, lengthens & gives my lashes volume.  It doesn’t clump, flake or smudge.  It’s super black too & has a really lovely formula & wand.  Unfortunately, it’s no longer available which is a shame as it was one of the best most affordable mascaras.  If this was still available I would definitely repurchase it.

The Rock Couture mascara I hate.  I spoke about this in my July Hits & Misses (see post here).  I dislike both the mascara & the wand.  It’s €4.50, so inespensive but definitely one to avoid.  There are other mascaras that cost the same which are better.

Eyeko, NYC & BarryM Eyeliners – Really liked these & would definitely consider repurchasing them in future. The NYC one was probably my favourite from the three.

Maybelline Rocket Volumn’ Express & Lash Sensational Mascaras – Really liked both of these & would absolutely repurchase them in future. The Lash Sensational was my favourite from them, I would love to try some of the other Lash Sensational Mascaras in future.

The Pro Hygiene Makeup Brush Cleanser – This was awful!  It left my brushes all greasy & I ended up needing to use Fairy washing up liquid to cut through the grease. They needed two washes with just the Fairy Liquid to remove all the grease. I’m pretty sure I paid around €12 for this, it was the biggest waste of money. Avoid it if you see it!

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think of them?

Thank you for reading, until next time, take care xx
