On January 26th US influencer Amrezy announced her collaboration with Anastasia Beverly Hills and she had created a highlighter with the cosmetics brand and that it would be released on February 14th.
I really like Amrezy and knew this is one product I didn’t want to miss out on. From all the Instagram & Twitter posts this looked beautiful, a pale, shiny gold that gave a glow like no other.
Highlighters and illuminating products are not beauty items I wore or had any interest in. It’s only in the last year that I’ve developed an interest in them really. It’s safe to say they have fast become one of my favourite products to use, and this highlighter in particular, has fast become my favourite one, so much so, I’ve bought a second one for back-up. I rarely, if ever do that with any products, so it’s a sure sign this is a firm favourite.
This product was released on Valentine’s Day and typically, it sold out quite quickly, although it was restocked. I was lucky enough to nab it not long after it went on sale. It’s £29 so not the most purse friendly, however, it is absolutely stunning and well worth it. Plus, because you only need the tiniest bit so it will last a while!
I don’t have much experience with ABH products, I have two others items by them, their illuminator in So Hollywood and a liquid lipstick. I love their So Hollywood illuminator, it’s a beautiful light gold that has a slight warmth to it.
I expected this highlighter to be similar, if a little more glowy, and it is even better than I expected. It’s a beautiful pale gold that would work for many complexions I think. It’s has a gorgeous wave pattern which makes me not want to use it, it’s super pretty.
It’s a very lightweight powder and applies beautifully, you only need a tiny bit though. It’s far more glowy than any other highlighter I own.Aside from being absolutely beautiful, there is no fallout, at all, from this. Literally none. I was majorly surprised because pretty much all powdered products in my experience at least will have some fallout or kickback, but this has none so you won’t be wasting any.In the below photos you can see it swatched alongside Parisian Lights by Becca, which has a slight more pink tone to it, whereas ABH x Amrezy is a straight up pale gold.
It comes in a beautiful sleek, glossy black compact that has gold stars and gold font on the front. This is, unfortunately, limited edition so you need to be quick if you do want to get it. You can purchase it from Anastasia Beverly Hills UK, Cult Beauty and Anastasia Beverly Hills.com.
